Filmmaker Anil Sharma, who shared a deep professional and personal bond with the Deol family, has shared emotional insights into Dharmendra's last days. The veteran actor had been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital earlier in November after experiencing breathlessness. He was discharged on 12 November and initially showed signs of recovery at home. During Sharma's visit, Dharmendra was responsive, opening his eyes and moving his hands, giving everyone hope. Doctors had expressed confidence in his recovery, calling him a very strong man. However, his condition unexpectedly worsened in the following days. The legendary 89-year-old actor passed away on 24 November, just weeks before his 90th birthday on 8 December. He spent his final moments surrounded by family. Dharmendra is survived by his wives Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol.

Signs of Recovery Before Sudden Decline
Anil Sharma visited Dharmendra at home after his hospital discharge and witnessed encouraging signs. The actor was responding to stimuli, opening his eyes, and even moving his hands. Medical professionals treating him were optimistic, describing Dharmendra as a very strong man who would likely recover fully. The entire family and close friends were hopeful and had begun looking forward to celebrating his milestone 90th birthday on 8 December. Unfortunately, despite the initial positive signs and medical reassurances, age took its toll. Dharmendra's condition deteriorated unexpectedly in the days following his discharge. The iconic Bollywood star, known as the 'He-Man,' passed away on 24 November 2025, leaving behind a legacy spanning over six decades in Indian cinema.
