Bollywood Celebrities Pay Respects to Dharmendra’s Family

The Hindi film industry mourns the loss of veteran actor Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89 on November 24. The actor, who had been discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital last week, was recuperating at home before his death. His cremation took place in Mumbai on Monday, attended by family members and film industry colleagues. Prominent stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan were present at the crematorium. Following his death, numerous Bollywood celebrities visited the Deol family residence to offer condolences. Dharmendra was celebrated for iconic films such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, Dost, and Seeta Aur Geeta. His final film, Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is scheduled for release on December 25, featuring Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat in lead roles.

On Tuesday, several Bollywood personalities visited the Deol family home to offer their condolences. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were spotted arriving at Sunny Deol's residence, appearing visibly emotional as they entered. Karisma Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan also visited earlier in the day. Ajay Devgn paid his respects to the grieving family. Other celebrities who came to offer support included filmmaker Farah Khan, Ananya Panday, Bhavana Panday, Chunky Panday, Maheep Kapoor, and Shanaya Kapoor. Dharmendra's nephew Abhay Deol also visited the family. The previous night saw visits from Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty with husband Raj Kundra, Zayed Khan with sister Sussanne Khan, and Kajol, all standing in solidarity with the family.
