Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has postponed her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal indefinitely following a family health crisis. Her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced symptoms of a possible heart attack and was hospitalized in Sangli. The couple, who were scheduled to marry on November 23 in an intimate ceremony, had already completed pre-wedding celebrations including Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet, and a cricket match between bride and groom teams. Members of the Indian women's cricket team had joined the festivities. After her father's hospitalization, Smriti immediately decided to postpone all wedding plans. The situation became more complicated when Palash himself required hospitalization the following day, though he was later discharged and returned to Mumbai. Following these events, Smriti removed all wedding-related content from her social media platforms, including engagement announcements and proposal videos. Teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil also deleted their wedding posts.

Wedding Postponed Due to Medical Emergencies
Shrinivas Mandhana fell seriously ill during breakfast and was rushed by ambulance to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli, where he remains under observation. The family initially hoped his condition was minor, but the severity required immediate medical attention. Shortly after this incident, Palash Muchhal was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli, though he was discharged and has since returned to Mumbai. The back-to-back health scares prompted the couple to halt all celebrations indefinitely. Smriti and Palash, who have reportedly been together for six years, subsequently deleted all wedding-related social media posts. Close friends and teammates also removed their engagement confirmation videos. This decision came despite successful pre-wedding festivities and Smriti's recent triumph at the Women's World Cup, where she scored 434 runs.
