Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has postponed her wedding to music composer Palash Muchhal indefinitely following serious health emergencies affecting both families. Her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced symptoms of a possible heart attack during breakfast and was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli, where he remains under observation. The next day, Palash himself was hospitalized in Sangli, though he has since been discharged and returned to Mumbai. The couple, who have been together for six years, were scheduled to marry in an intimate ceremony on November 23 in Sangli. Pre-wedding festivities including Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet, and a cricket match between the bride and groom teams had already taken place, with members of the Indian women's cricket team participating. Following the postponement, Smriti deleted all wedding-related posts from social media, and teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil also removed their celebration videos.

Health Emergencies Force Wedding Postponement
The wedding celebrations came to an abrupt stop when Shrinivas Mandhana fell seriously ill during breakfast. The family initially thought it was minor, but he was later transported by ambulance to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli for observation. Smriti, who serves as vice-captain of the Indian women's cricket team, immediately decided to postpone the wedding indefinitely until her father's condition stabilized. Adding to the family's concerns, Palash Muchhal was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli the following day. Though he was discharged and has returned to Mumbai, the consecutive health scares led the couple to put all celebrations on hold. Smriti subsequently removed all engagement, proposal, and wedding posts from her social media accounts.
