New Delhi: A Noida-based customer has filed a detailed complaint against online auto marketplace Cars24, alleging that one of its customer support agents engaged in misleading sales claims, unprofessional conduct, and refusal to provide written confirmation during a phone conversation.
According to the complaint, the incident took place on 15 November 2025 during a call with an agent identified as “Akshay” (caller ID: +91 1135646893). The customer alleges that the agent offered a brand-new BMW X1 for ₹42 lakh, nearly ₹20 lakh lower than the vehicle’s average market price of around ₹62 lakh. When the customer asked for written confirmation via email, the agent allegedly refused.
The complaint further states that the agent claimed he could arrange a used 2022 BMW X1 for ₹17–18 lakh, a valuation the complainant describes as “unrealistic” and part of a deceptive sales pitch.
The customer also alleges that the agent made derogatory and unprofessional remarks during the call. An audio recording of the conversation has been submitted as evidence to substantiate the allegations.
The complaint accuses the agent of fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of trust, and violating fair-trade norms. It demands an immediate investigation, disciplinary action, a written apology, and a transparent valuation report for the customer’s vehicle.
It also urges Cars24 to strengthen internal controls and ensure ethical communication training for all customer-facing staff.
Cars24 has not yet released an official response regarding the allegations.
