The Pakistan Cricket Board has relocated all matches of the upcoming T20I tri-series from their originally planned venues to a single stadium in Rawalpindi. The tournament, featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe, was initially scheduled to have its opening two games in Rawalpindi, with the remaining five matches, including the final, set for Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. However, following recent bomb blasts in Islamabad, the board decided to consolidate the entire seven-match series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This decision aims to reduce travel requirements for participating teams while maintaining the series schedule. The PCB announced this venue change on November 14, emphasizing security considerations. The tournament will begin on November 18 and conclude with the final on November 29. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has assured all visiting players and support staff of a secure environment throughout the series.

Complete Schedule Now Set for Single Venue
The revised schedule keeps all seven matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Pakistan will face Zimbabwe on November 18 in the opening match, followed by Sri Lanka versus Zimbabwe on November 20. Pakistan meets Sri Lanka on November 22, then faces Zimbabwe again on November 23. Sri Lanka plays Zimbabwe on November 25, and Pakistan encounters Sri Lanka once more on November 27. The final is scheduled for November 29. The PCB has provided enhanced security measures, including full convoys for visiting teams traveling from hotels to the stadium. All routes are being sanitized with police vans and security personnel ensuring safe passage for players and support staff throughout the tournament.
