Pakistan refuse Bangladesh’s invitation for T20I tri-series in December-latest

2 min read

The Pakistan Cricket Board has turned down Bangladesh's proposal to participate in a Twenty20 tri-series planned for December. Bangladesh had invited Pakistan and Sri Lanka to take part in the tournament. The main reason given was player workload, as several key Pakistani cricketers would not be available during that period. Important players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi already have commitments to play in the Big Bash League in Australia. Meanwhile, Pakistan is currently hosting Sri Lanka in an ODI series and will soon organize their own tri-series tournament. Starting November 17, Pakistan will host Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a T20 tri-series at home. The initial matches will be in Rawalpindi, while the remaining games and the final will take place in Lahore.
