State Bank of India is expected to conduct the SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2025 tentatively in November 2025. The exact date and time for the main examination for Junior Associate positions have not yet been announced. Candidates who successfully cleared the preliminary examination, held on September 20, 21, and 27, 2025, are eligible to appear for the mains. The preliminary exam results were declared on November 4. This recruitment drive aims to fill 5180 Junior Associate posts in the organization. The main examination will consist of 190 questions carrying 200 marks, divided into four sections with separate timings. Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying aggregate marks as decided by the bank, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates. Admit cards will be released once the examination dates are finalized. Further details are available on the official SBI website.

Main Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The main examination will feature 190 questions worth 200 marks with a total duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The paper is divided into four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude. Each section has separate time limits. A negative marking scheme applies, deducting 1/4th of the assigned marks for every incorrect answer. Candidates must score the minimum aggregate percentage as determined by the bank. No section-wise minimum qualifying marks are required, and section-wise marks will not be maintained separately. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates receive a 5% relaxation on qualifying marks.
