Ratna Pathak Shah Remembers Satish Shah's Hidden Emotions

Ratna Pathak Shah spoke to The Hindu about her late co-star, revealing that Satish rarely let his vulnerable side show. She believed he did not deserve mourning because he lived fully with courage and humor. Ratna observed that Satish perhaps never acknowledged there was more to life than smiling through challenges. She suggested sometimes it is necessary to sit and cry, but Satish likely never allowed himself that release. The only exception she witnessed was when his wife Madhu fell seriously ill years ago and required blood transfusions. When the cast rushed to the hospital, they saw a shattered Satish for the first time, different from his usual cheerful demeanor. Ratna had advised him to look deeper within himself, but he was not interested in exploring that path.
