India's wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh will receive a special gold-plated bat and ball from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for her outstanding performance at the 2025 Women's World Cup. The felicitation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, at Eden Gardens. During the tournament, Richa scored 235 runs in eight innings with an average of 39.16 and a strike rate of 133.52. She hit the most sixes (12) by any player, equalling Deandra Dottin's record for most sixes in a single Women's World Cup edition. The gold-plated items will be signed by former India captain Sourav Ganguly and legendary pacer Jhulan Goswami. CAB president Ganguly praised Richa as an inspiration for young cricketers in Bengal and across India. The 22-year-old from Siliguri has already won multiple titles, including the Women's World Cup, U-19 World Cup, Women's Premier League, Asian Games gold, and Commonwealth Games silver.

Recognition for World Cup Heroics
Richa Ghosh displayed exceptional power hitting throughout the tournament, particularly against South Africa. In the league phase, she scored 94 runs off 77 balls against Laura Wolvaardt's side. She followed this with a vital 34 off 24 balls in the final against the same opponents. Ganguly highlighted that honouring her with the gold bat and ball is recognition for her extraordinary contribution to Indian cricket. He emphasized that Richa has shown remarkable talent, composure, and fighting spirit on the world stage. She is the second wicketkeeper from Siliguri to represent India after Wriddhiman Saha, and her impressive trophy collection includes major international and domestic titles.
