Netflix has announced that Xolo Maridueña will join the cast of One Piece Season 3 as Portgas D. Ace. The 24-year-old actor is widely recognized for his work in the 2023 film Blue Beetle and the popular series Cobra Kai. The live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's manga series, which debuted in 1997 and remains one of Japan's longest-running manga, received the green light for its third season in August. Production for Season 3 is scheduled to begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa. Season 2 is set to premiere on March 10, continuing the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as they search for the legendary treasure and navigate the perilous Grand Line. Maridueña joins other recent additions to the cast, including Broadway performer Cole Escola as Bon Clay.
