Demanding Shoot Schedules and Classical Dance Challenge

2 min read

Actor Sudheer Babu is releasing his first film of 2025, the mythological horror film Jatadhara, on November 7. The movie features a story that blends folklore with horror, involving a ghost hunter who does not believe in ghosts, buried gold, and a demoness protecting it. Sudheer shares that he approached the script from an audience perspective rather than just career advancement. The actor performed classical dance for the Shiva Stotram song, which was challenging as he had never performed the dance form on screen before. He shot alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Shilpa Shirodkar, praising both actresses for their performances. The production involved demanding schedules, including shooting for up to 24 hours on one occasion during the climax sequence. Sudheer aims to work on inspirational sports films next, with his immediate project being a significant concept film with director Rahul Ravindran.

Demanding Shoot Schedules and Classical Dance Challenge

The film required intense shooting schedules, with the climax demanding 15 to 16-hour days for a week. On the final day of shooting, the team worked for 24 hours straight, which Sudheer only realized after the production unit mentioned it. Despite ongoing conversations about structured work hours in the industry, the actor embraced the challenge as the film required it. Beyond the demanding schedule, Sudheer faced another challenge performing the Shiva tandavam for the Shiva Stotram song. This classical dance sequence intimidated him more than anything else, as he had never performed this dance form on screen before. He expressed confidence that the hard work would pay off when audiences watch the sequence.
