A major cleanliness drive was carried out late on Tuesday night in Khera block under the Lohia Swachh Bihar campaign. Block Development Officer Shekhar Suman directed the cleaning of accumulated garbage opposite the +2 High School. The operation involved block coordinator Vibhuti Bhushan, local head, and sanitation supervisor Varun Kumar Mishra, who used a JCB machine for the task. Shopkeepers responsible for littering were issued notices with a fine of 3,000 rupees. The BDO warned of strict action against anyone dumping waste in public spaces in future. According to Swachh Bharat Mission 2016 rules, repeat offenders will face police complaints and a utility charge of 500 rupees per shop will be collected. The campaign aims to keep Khera block clean and spread awareness among citizens about maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in their surroundings.

The objective is to maintain a hygienic environment and raise awareness about cleanliness responsibilities among local people. Authorities are committed to ensuring the campaign runs without interruption.
