The computer-based examination is scheduled for December 26 and 27 in two shifts daily. This test determines admissions to Doctorate of Medicine and Master of Chirugiae, along with other superspecialty programmes at medical institutions nationwide. The exam dates have been revised twice, causing concern among aspirants. The information bulletin containing eligibility requirements, examination structure, syllabus, and fee details will also be published today. Notably, this examination was not conducted last year, making the upcoming session particularly significant for candidates seeking superspecialty admissions.

Revised Schedule and Exam Pattern Details
The examination dates were changed twice before finalizing. Initially scheduled for November 6 and 7, the test was first postponed to December 27 and 28, then adjusted to December 26 and 27. The question paper format includes three time-bound sections labelled A, B, and C. Each section contains 50 questions and candidates receive 50 minutes per section. Separate question papers have been introduced for medical oncology and critical care medicine specialties. The National Medical Commission reported that medical colleges recorded only 3,547 admissions through this examination in the previous session. Postgraduate degree holders in traumatology and surgery are now permitted to appear for the test.
