2 min read

A school teacher in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, has been suspended by the state government after a video showed her making two minor female students massage her legs. The incident took place at a government school in Bandapalli village, where the teacher was seen stretching her legs while talking on her mobile phone during school hours as the students pressed her legs. The suspension order cited multiple violations of government regulations, including misusing students for personal work, sitting improperly in the classroom, and using a mobile phone during teaching hours. Officials confirmed this was not an isolated incident, indicating the teacher had previously made students massage her legs. The government acted after reviewing the available evidence and viral video footage.

Teacher Suspended for Multiple Violations

The Andhra Pradesh government suspended Y Sujatha, a teacher at GTWAH School in Bandapalli village, on Tuesday following the viral video incident. The suspension order stated that Sujatha violated government instructions by compelling students to massage her legs and perform personal tasks. The order emphasized her gross negligence in professional duties, noting she sat improperly in the classroom with legs stretched out. Additionally, she was found using her mobile phone during school hours, which is against regulations. Officials revealed this behavior was not a one-time occurrence, as Sujatha had previously made students massage her legs, demonstrating a pattern of misconduct and neglect of teaching responsibilities.
