In Araria district, the door-to-door distribution of voter information slips has started ahead of the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Election 2025. Following directions from the Election Commission of India, the district administration launched this campaign across all six assembly constituencies: Narpatganj, Araria, Jokihat, Sikti, Forbesganj, and Raniganj. The campaign aims to provide every registered voter with accurate details about their polling station before voting takes place on 11 November 2025. Each voter slip clearly mentions the voter's full name, serial number in the electoral roll, booth number, complete polling station address, and assembly constituency name. Booth Level Officers are personally delivering these slips to each household. The district administration has set a target to reach all 12 lakh registered voters with 100 percent coverage. Special monitoring teams have been formed to ensure timely and complete distribution across the district.

Purpose and Limitations of the Voter Information Slip
According to the District Election Officer, the information slip will help voters easily locate their designated polling booth, making the voting process smoother and faster. However, officials have clarified that this slip is not a substitute for identity proof. On polling day, voters must carry valid photo identification documents such as Voter ID card, Aadhaar card, passport, driving license, or any other government-issued photo ID. The slip serves only as a guide to the polling location and cannot be used for identity verification. To maintain confidentiality and authenticity, slips will not be handed over to neighbours or other family members if the registered voter is absent during distribution. Citizens are urged to remain at home to personally collect their slips.
