Khushi Kapoor has begun filming for Mom 2, the sequel to her late mother Sridevi's final movie. Unseen photographs from the shooting set surfaced on social media on Khushi's 25th birthday. The pictures show her dressed casually in a sweatshirt alongside television actor Karishma Tanna, who wore a white salwar kameez for the scene. Producer Boney Kapoor announced in March this year that his younger daughter would headline the project, following in Sridevi's footsteps. The original Mom (2017) earned Sridevi a posthumous National Film Award for Best Actress. Filming reportedly started last week in Mumbai after Diwali, with ten days of shooting already completed. Director Girish Kohli, who wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the first film, helms this sequel. Boney Kapoor may officially announce the project on his birthday, November 11. This marks Khushi's fourth film following The Archies, Loveyapa, and Nadaaniyan.
