2 min read

A massive crowd gathered at the Ganga ghats in Begusaray district on the occasion of Kartik Purnima for the holy bath. The Simaria Ganga Dham witnessed devotees not only from Bihar but also from different states across India and even from Nepal. Starting from 3 am, devotees began taking holy dips along the ghats from Namami Gange to Ramghat with continuous chants of Har-Har Gange. Over two lakh devotees are estimated to have taken the sacred bath. After bathing in the Ganga, pilgrims performed prayers and worship at various temples including Sarvamangala Siddashram. Heavy traffic was reported on NH-31 from Barauni Zeromile to Simaria bridge since morning. Police forces were deployed extensively across all key points, from Rajendra Bridge station to the Ganga ghats, ensuring security arrangements for the massive turnout of pilgrims seeking spiritual and worldly well-being.

Large Gathering of Devotees from Nepal and Other Regions

Devotees from various districts of Bihar, other Indian states, and Nepal reached Simaria, Jhamtiya, and Sahebpur Kamal's Rajghat for the Kartik Purnima celebration. Sadhus, saints, and pilgrims arrived overnight with the desire for physical, mental peace, and salvation through Ganga bathing. Swami Chidatman Ji stated that the Ganga has always been a liberator and will remain so. He emphasized that bathing and worship at Simaria Dham on this auspicious day removes greed, attachment, jealousy, and sins. Devotees believe that bathing at Adi Kumbha Sthali Simaria Dham grants multiple times more spiritual merit compared to other places, blessing them with both worldly and otherworldly benefits.
