2 min read

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address an election rally on 8 November at Kudiya Kothi in Chanpatiya block of Betia district. The venue, a farm field near Chanpatiya Sugar Mill, is witnessing intense preparation by the district administration and BJP organization. Work on pandal construction, stage arrangement, and security measures is underway at war footing. Local MP Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal inspected the site alongside senior district officials and BJP leaders. Arrangements are being made to accommodate around five lakh people. Four helipads are planned—three for the Prime Minister's helicopters and one for the Chief Minister's. Recent rains had waterlogged the field, requiring two sewer section machines to drain it. Meanwhile, local demands have resurfaced to restart the closed Chanpatiya Sugar Mill and establish new industrial units on vacant land. Police Superintendent Dr. Shaurya Suman has reviewed security arrangements to ensure flawless protection during the visit.

Massive Rally Preparations and Security Measures

Four helipads are under construction—three designated for the Prime Minister's helicopters and one for the Chief Minister's. A VIP route and control room are being set up behind the main stage. Recent rainfall had flooded the ground, prompting the deployment of two sewer section machines to remove water. Stage construction, barricading, and movement routes are being strengthened. Police Superintendent Dr. Shaurya Suman inspected the venue and directed officials to ensure strict surveillance, deploy additional security at entry and exit points, and maintain proper crowd control measures without any lapses.
