The Mahua assembly seat in Bihar has become the focus of intense political drama within the Yadav family. Tejpratap Yadav, expelled from RJD by his father Lalu Prasad, is contesting from his new party Janshakti Janta Dal. His younger brother Tejashwi Yadav campaigned for RJD candidate Mukesh Raushan against him. In response, Tejpratap held rallies in Raghopurm, Tejashwi's constituency. Bhojpuri actresses Akshara Singh and Pakhi Hegde joined Tejpratap's campaign with a roadshow in Mahua. The seat is crucial because of its Muslim-Yadav voter base comprising 40 percent of the electorate, making it an RJD stronghold since 1995. Lalu had expelled Tejpratap on May 25 for alleged moral misconduct and irresponsible behavior, banning him from party activities for six years. Akshara Singh has also appeared on Jan Suraj platforms and met BJP leader Giriraj Singh recently.

Bhojpuri Stars Campaign for Tejpratap in Mahua

Bhojpuri actresses Akshara Singh and Pakhi Hegde conducted a roadshow in the Mahua constituency supporting Tejpratap Yadav. Akshara has previously shown support for women candidates, including Pawan Singh's wife Jyoti Singh, who contested as an independent from Karakat. She stated that women pursuing their goals independently deserve encouragement. Akshara has also been seen on Jan Suraj party platforms, though she has repeatedly denied entering politics directly. Recently, she met Union Minister Giriraj Singh, sparking speculation about joining BJP. During his Raghopurm rally, Tejpratap claimed his Janshakti Janta Dal is Lalu's real party, calling the green-flag RJD fake and controlled by traitors.
