Sonakshi Sinha is making her entry into Telugu cinema with the supernatural thriller Jatadhara, which releases on November 7. The film, directed by Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan, features Sudheer Babu in the lead role and Shilpa Shirodkar in a key part. Sinha plays the antagonist Dhanapisachini in this bilingual project. Known for her work in Dabangg, Lootera, and Akira, the actress shared that the dark and layered story attracted her immediately. She expressed excitement about working with a new team and reaching a different audience. Sinha, who previously appeared in the Tamil film Lingaa, mentioned she has always been open to regional projects but earlier schedule constraints prevented her from taking them up. The film blends mythology with supernatural elements and is set around the mysteries of the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Sinha continues to explore diverse stories across languages and streaming platforms.

Telugu Industry Praised for Discipline and Work-Life Balance
When comparing working cultures between Hindi and Telugu cinema, Sinha praised the southern industry for its punctuality and structured schedules. She highlighted that the work-life balance is notably better in Telugu cinema. The actress explained that shooting schedules are strictly maintained, with productions not allowed to continue beyond six in the evening if they start at nine in the morning. This discipline on set impressed her significantly. She noted that Hindi film shoots often stretch late into the night, something she believes could improve. Sinha described the Telugu industry as very disciplined and suggested that Hindi cinema could learn from these practices. She appreciated the sorted timings and the respect for personal time.
