Bihar saw intense campaigning on the last day for the first phase of assembly elections. Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav actively participated, conducting a 5-kilometer road show in Patna's Fulwari constituency to support CPI-ML candidate Gopal Ravidas. The one-hour procession drew large crowds of Left and RJD supporters. Earlier, Lalu had campaigned for Reetal Yadav, who is currently in Bhagalpur jail, covering 25 kilometers on Monday. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Kutumba, Aurangabad, criticizing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and accusing BJP of controlling him. Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav announced that if the alliance wins, women will receive Rs 30,000 in a lump sum under the proposed Mai Bahin Yojana scheme instead of monthly installments. The Mahagathbandhan leaders intensified their campaign efforts across multiple constituencies.

Campaign Activities and Promises on Final Day

Previously, Lalu campaigned for Reetal Yadav with a 25-kilometer road show. In Kutumba, Aurangabad, Rahul Gandhi held a rally for state Congress president Rajesh Ram, claiming Nitish Kumar is fully controlled by BJP leadership Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. He warned supporters to stay alert against possible electoral malpractices. Tejaswi Yadav announced at a press conference on November 4 that their government would provide Rs 30,000 annually in one payment to women under the Mai Bahin Yojana, instead of monthly installments of Rs 2,500.
