A major political roadshow took place in Betia on Tuesday as Bhojpuri actors Arvind Akela 'Kallu' and Aastha Singh campaigned for independent candidate Rohit Kumar Sikaria. The procession started from Kalibag OP Chowk and concluded at Banuchhapar Panchayat Bhawan, drawing thousands of supporters. Crowds gathered on roadsides, shop fronts and rooftops to catch a glimpse of the popular film stars. The Betia Assembly seat witnesses a triangular contest between independent candidate Rohit Sikaria, BJP's former Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi, and Congress candidate Wasi Ahmad. Political analysts note that Sikaria's campaign gained momentum after his wife, Mayor Garima Devi Sikaria, defeated Renu Devi's relative by over 63,000 votes in the municipal corporation elections. The roadshow energized Sikaria's campaign as he positions himself as the local candidate against established political figures.

Massive Turnout During Celebrity Campaign Trail
The roadshow passed through major city junctions including Jamadar Tola Chowk, Basant Chowk, Manuapool Chowk, Chhawani Chowk, Churiyamai Temple Road, and Hajma Tola Nagar Chowk before reaching Banuchhapar Panchayat Bhawan. As the procession moved forward, crowds continued swelling at every location. Supporters welcomed Kallu, Aastha Singh and candidate Rohit Sikaria with flower garlands throughout the route. Local youth displayed visible enthusiasm to see the Bhojpuri film stars from close range. Mayor Garima Devi Sikaria, present during the event, stated that people prioritize development and dignity in politics this time. The overwhelming public support indicates Betia is ready for change, she added. Supporters claimed the crowd turnout clearly reflects public sentiment ahead of the assembly elections.
