A dilapidated old building collapsed in the Kadamkuan area of Patna on Tuesday, trapping four members of a single family under the debris. The incident occurred around 12 noon on Daldali Road when the front portion of the house suddenly gave way. Screams for help could be heard from inside the collapsed structure as panicked residents tried to escape. Local residents quickly gathered at the spot, and rescue teams were called in. After a two-hour rescue operation, all four trapped individuals were safely pulled out. The building belonged to Binni Sao, owner of Poonam Electronics, and had become extremely weak due to lack of maintenance. Several renters were living inside when the structure crumbled. Authorities used ladders to scale the walls and evacuate people one by one. All family members are now safe.

Rescue Operation and Condition of Building
The collapsed building was extremely old and had developed serious cracks due to lack of repair work. When the front section gave way, escape routes were completely blocked. Rescue teams placed ladders against interior and exterior walls to bring out the trapped residents one by one. Among those rescued were Khushbu Kumari, Pooja Kumari, Sheela Devi, and Chandan Shah. Sheela Devi mentioned that renovation work was underway when the front portion suddenly collapsed. Workers initially tried to support the structure with bamboo poles but failed. The rear section of the building remains unstable and could collapse anytime. More than five renters were inside the house when the accident happened.
