The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has announced the 2026 public examination timetable for students in Classes 10, 11, and 12. Class 12 board exams will be conducted from March 2 to March 26, 2026, while Class 11 exams for arrear candidates are scheduled from March 3 to March 27, 2026. The SSLC (Class 10) exams will take place from March 11 to April 6, 2026. All written tests will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:15 p.m., with students receiving 10 minutes to read the question paper and five minutes for detail verification. Practical examinations will precede written tests between February 9 and February 28, 2026. Tentative results are expected on May 8, 2026 for Class 12, and May 20, 2026 for Classes 10 and 11. Exam Dates and Practical Schedule
Practical examinations will be held before the written exams for all three classes. Class 12 practicals are scheduled from February 9 to 14, 2026, Class 11 practicals from February 16 to 21, 2026, and Class 10 practicals from February 23 to 28, 2026. All theory exams will be conducted in the forenoon session, starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 1:15 p.m. across Tamil Nadu. Students will receive 10 minutes to read the question paper and an additional five minutes to verify their personal details before beginning their answers. The DGE has advised students to reach examination centres at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time and follow the timetable carefully to avoid any confusion.
