The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has announced an extension for the GATE 2026 correction window. Candidates now have until November 10, 2025, to make changes to their application forms through the official portal. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is scheduled to take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Each test paper will have a duration of three hours, featuring 65 questions worth 100 marks in total. Candidates requiring compensatory time will receive four hours. The admit card is expected to be released in January 2026. Applicants must carry a printed admit card on A4 paper along with a valid original photo identity document to the examination center. The application form will be displayed, allowing them to review and modify required fields. After completing changes, they must click submit and download the confirmation page for future reference. The examination will automatically terminate once the allocated time ends. Candidates availing compensatory time will receive four hours instead of three. The admit card, releasing in January 2026, must be printed on A4 paper and presented alongside a valid original photo identity document specified during application. The admit card is valid only when the photograph and signature are clearly visible.
