PNB LBO Recruitment 2025 update: key points for applicants

Punjab National Bank has announced a recruitment drive to fill 750 Local Bank Officer positions. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website at pnb.bank.in. The application window remains open until November 23, 2025. Applicants must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies. The age requirement falls between 20 to 30 years. The selection process comprises four stages: an online written test, screening, a language proficiency test, and a personal interview. Negative marking applies for incorrect answers, with one-fourth of the marks deducted per wrong response. Candidates from the General and EWS categories need to secure at least 40% qualifying marks in each section, while reserved category candidates require 35%. The application fee is Rs. 1180 for general candidates and Rs. 59 for SC/ST/PwBD category applicants.

Selection Process and Application Fee Details

The recruitment for Local Bank Officer posts will follow a four-phase selection process: online written test, screening, language proficiency test, and personal interview. The examination includes negative marking where one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying marks of 40% for General/EWS category and 35% for Reserved category in each section. The application fee is set at Rs. 1180 for all candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD category candidates need to pay only Rs. 59. Payment can be completed using debit cards, credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards, mobile wallets, or UPI. Applicants must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate proving their graduate status at the time of registration.
