Psychologist Arpita Kohli from PSRI Hospital explains that parenthood significantly alters sleep cycles, especially during early months. Kohli recommends napping when the baby sleeps, sharing nighttime duties, avoiding evening caffeine, and keeping bedrooms dark and quiet. Sleeping early aligns the body with its natural circadian rhythm, promoting hormonal balance, better digestion, and improved cognitive function. For couples, aligned sleep routines strengthen emotional connection and intimacy. When partners have different body clocks, frustration or emotional distance may occur.
