A fire broke out at a Waldo’s store in downtown Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, on Saturday. At least 23 people died and 11 were injured. The victims included children. Sonora’s governor confirmed the numbers and said an investigation into the cause has started. Officials ruled out any attack as the cause. Hermosillo had a deadly fire in 2009 at a day care centre that killed 49 children. That tragedy was linked to sealed emergency exits and lack of safety measures.
