On Wednesday morning around seven o'clock in Pali, a Naga sadhu deceived a 66-year-old elderly man and fled in a car with a gold chain worth approximately 5 lakh rupees. The elderly man ran after him but could not catch him. The police searched through CCTV footage in the Abhay Command area, which showed a silver-colored car. The sadhu had tricked him by offering to chant mantras over the gold chain. The incident occurred on Thursday morning around 7 o'clock near IDBI in the Kotwali police station area of Pali city. Raichand, son of Jasraj Jain, aged 66, who was returning after plucking neem leaves, was stopped outside his house by a Naga sadhu who arrived in a silver-colored car. The sadhu gave him 50 rupees, placed his hand on his head, and said, "Go, now the end of sorrows in your life is coming." Then he said that he would chant mantras over the thread worn around his neck. (Updated 30 Oct 2025, 10:56 IST; source: link)
