4,500 meters high, winds roared like wild animals on Mount Tharang II (6,025m) in Himachal Pradesh's Miyar Valley. Four Indian climbers – Subhajit Banerjee, Arun Nanda, Mamata Joshi, and Nishant Janki – attempted to scale this peak, previously climbed only once in 2016. Their plan to reach the summit by was thwarted by a sudden snowstorm. Temperatures dropped to -13°C, burying food and fuel. After three days trapped in the storm, they decided to turn back. The team left behind ₹2.5 lakh worth of equipment. Though they didn't reach the summit, the climbers gained valuable lessons in resilience, friendship, and acceptance.
