Saralnama₹1572 lakh crore worth of transactions were made in India during the first half of 2025, up 15% from last year. UPI accounted for 85% of transactions but only 9% of total value. RTGS made up 69% of total value despite just 0.1% of transactions. In October, average daily UPI transactions reached ₹96,638 crore, 16% higher than September due to festival shopping. During Dussehra to Diwali, UPI saw 73.69 crore daily transactions, up from 56.84 crore last year. On Diwali eve, UPI hit a record 74 crore transactions in one day.
