A massive fire broke out at 99 Store on Garh Road in Hapur on Thursday night. The blaze destroyed goods worth lakhs of rupees. Two fire engines battled the flames for about an hour before bringing the situation under control. The store, owned by Ranjit from Badnauli village, sold plastic and other items. Smoke and flames engulfed the entire store, causing panic. Local residents quickly alerted the fire department. Firefighters arrived and started dousing the fire. The preliminary cause is suspected to be a short circuit, though official confirmation is pending. Estimated losses exceed ₹10 lakh. CFO Ajay Sharma stated that investigations are ongoing.
