Saralnama1000 metric tons of waste were collected during a special cleanliness drive in Nainital district. District Magistrate Lalit Mohan Rayal ordered the campaign to clean up cities for Diwali. Municipal bodies in Haldwani-Kathgodam, Nainital, Bhimtal, Bhowali, Ramnagar, Kaladhungi, and Lalkuan participated. They cleared garbage from public roads and heavily littered areas. On average, 300 metric tons of waste were collected daily, more than usual. The DM thanked municipal staff for their efforts and urged citizens to help maintain cleanliness.
