The ₹30 crore Amilia-Bahari bridge in Sidhi district opened to the public on Thursday evening. Local MLA Vishwamitra Pathak and MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra inaugurated the 7.75-meter long, 11.10-meter wide bridge at 5 PM. Built by Bhaiyalal Shukla Company, it connects Amilia and Bahari areas, improving transportation on the route to Singrauli, Hanumana, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. The bridge's opening was delayed for a year due to political tensions, despite being ready. It replaces an old, dilapidated bridge that posed safety risks.
