Software Engineer’s Body Found in Dam Near Rishikesh

The body of Hemant Soni, a software engineer from Prithvipur, Niwari, was found in a dam 15 km from Rishikesh. Hemant fell from Bajrang Setu bridge into the Ganges on while talking on his mobile phone. After a week-long search, his body was recovered. The Prithvipur MLA had appealed to the CM for help. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav requested Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to speed up the rescue operation. Uttarakhand Police sent the body for post-mortem.
