Kedarnath Temple Closes for Winter, Idol Moved to Ukhimath

The Kedarnath temple in Rudraprayag district closed for winter on at 8 am. The closure ceremony began at 4 am with special prayers. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other officials attended the event. After closing, Baba Kedarnath's idol left for Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath. The procession will stop at Rampur, reach Guptkashi the next day, and arrive at Ukhimath. Devotees can visit the idol at Omkareshwar temple during winter months.
