Two Children Drown in Ganga River During Diwali Bath in BiharSaralnama

Four siblings drowned while bathing in the Ganga river on Diwali day in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The incident occurred at Kuppa Ghat in Barari police station area. Two children were rescued, but Sami Ahmad (9) and Najma Khatun (9) died. The victims were part of a group led by Mohammad Murtaza for a ritual bath after returning from madrasa. Local residents rescued two children, while the other two remained submerged for half an hour. SDRF team recovered the bodies. Two survivors are undergoing treatment at Mayaganj Hospital.
