JMM Withdraws from Bihar Polls, to Review Alliance in JharkhandSaralnama

: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has decided not to contest the Bihar Assembly elections. This reverses their earlier announcement to contest 6 seats independently. JMM's central general secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey said the party was misled by major alliance partners. JMM chief and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren will review the alliance in Jharkhand with Congress and RJD. Just two days ago, JMM had announced plans to contest alone in Jamui, Chakai, Dhamdaha, Manihari, Pirpainti, and Katoria. The party accused alliance partners of disrespect. JMM's withdrawal eases seat-sharing tensions within the opposition alliance in Bihar. Soren reportedly wants to focus on Jharkhand politics and legal issues for now.
