Ravi Teja, initially considered for the lead role in 'Sir', acknowledges Dhanush was a better fit. During a promotional video shoot for 'Mass Jathara' in Hyderabad, director Venky Atluri revealed he first pitched 'Sir' to Ravi Teja. Due to scheduling conflicts, Dhanush was cast instead.
