The district administration set up firecracker shops at Dhonga Ground. As crowds increased in the afternoon, traffic pressure built up. A half-kilometer jam stretched from Rajmahal Chowk to Dhonga Road. Surprisingly, no traffic police were present during the jam. Local resident Vivek Chaurasia reported that the administration did not deploy any traffic police on this route. The jam caused problems for small children and women. About 130 firecracker shops were set up at Dhonga Ground. Despite two days of heavy customer flow, the administration made no proper traffic management arrangements.
