The minister also directed early procurement of books for the next academic year. The government provides free textbooks, workbooks, uniforms, school bags, and study materials to students in state schools. Dr. Rawat said he heard during field visits that some remote schools didn't receive books on time. He instructed the Education Director General to collect reports from all districts. The minister asked officials to start the book procurement process now to ensure timely distribution when schools reopen. Students can get uniforms and school bags by direct bank transfer.
