Over 3 lakh schools across India took part in Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025. This nationwide innovation hackathon for students of classes 6-12 aims to develop ideas for real-life challenges. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the event, calling it a mission to encourage innovation. More than 1 crore students from 2.5 lakh schools are working on prototypes under four themes: Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddhi. The 120-minute live innovation challenge saw students working in teams. Over 150 schools from remote areas shared their progress. Winners will be announced in December 2023.
