Delhi Police will use the new Trial in Absentia law under BNSS against gangsters operating from abroad. This allows courts to try, convict, and sentence fugitive criminals in their absence. Police can now apply MCOCA against foreign-based gangsters and gang members. The law aims to make extradition easier. Delhi Police has already used MCOCA against gangsters Nandu, Hashim Baba, and Sarik Saba. They plan to use it against Himanshu Bhau soon.
