Noida, September 27 – A 52-year-old animal trader, identified as Mohammad Qureshi, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the EcoTech-1 police station area, police said on Friday.
Qureshi, a resident of Bilaspur, had left home on September 23 to purchase cattle but never returned. His family later filed a missing complaint at Dankaur police station.
On September 25, police recovered his body from a forested area near Galgotias and NIU universities. Officials confirmed multiple injury marks, suggesting that he was assaulted before being killed.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination, and the report is awaited. Investigators believe the murder was linked to a financial dispute, as leads indicate money-related tensions.
Police sources said names of some suspects have already surfaced. “Teams are working to trace the accused, and the case will be solved soon,” a senior officer stated.
