Noida, September 27: A late-night accident in Noida has raised serious concerns over drunk driving and road safety. Police said a car driven by an allegedly intoxicated man collided with three vehicles, leaving at least three people, including students, injured.

The crash took place around 10 pm, two days ago, when Dharmendra Verma, a resident of Navdiya Chandpur village in Bareilly’s Bhamora area, was travelling with family members and students headed to Jhansi for an exam. His vehicle was struck head-on by the speeding car.

Verma and two students in his family sustained injuries in the accident. Witnesses said the accused driver, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated, also rammed into two other cars. All three vehicles were badly damaged in the collision.

Police have registered a case against the unidentified driver based on Verma’s complaint. “We are tracing the accused and further investigation is underway,” officials confirmed.

The incident highlights growing concerns about reckless driving under the influence, with residents demanding stricter enforcement and awareness campaigns to prevent such accidents.
