Noida, September 26, 2025 (Saralnama News): A 35-year-old worker, who was battling for life on ventilator support for over two weeks after being allegedly assaulted in a wage dispute, has died at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, police confirmed.

Worker Succumbs to Injuries

The victim, identified as Satyadev, sustained severe head injuries on September 8 after being allegedly beaten with a stick by Sachin Yadav (32), the husband of a woman constable posted at Sector 39 police station. Doctors said Satyadev slipped into a coma soon after the attack and succumbed to his injuries earlier this week.

How the Incident Happened

According to police, Satyadev and his contractor Rajkumar had gone to Yadav’s house in Mamura to seek advance wages for construction work. An argument broke out between Yadav and Rajkumar, during which Satyadev intervened. Police said Yadav allegedly abused him, picked up a stick, and repeatedly struck him on the head, leaving him bleeding profusely.

Locals rushed Satyadev to the district hospital, from where he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Despite intensive care, he could not recover from the head trauma.

Case Registered, Accused Arrested

An FIR was filed at Phase 3 police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for culpable homicide and criminal intimidation. Yadav, already in judicial custody, now faces upgraded charges following Satyadev’s death.

Police said further investigation is underway, and statements from witnesses have been recorded.
