New Delhi: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has issued the official holiday schedule for the 2025–26 academic session. According to the calendar, the autumn break will run from September 27 to October 25, 2025, spanning 29 days, while the winter break will begin on December 23, 2025.
The autumn holidays, nearly a month long, are expected to provide students ample time for rest and mid-session revisions. The winter vacation, though shorter, falls at a crucial academic phase ahead of board exams.
The schedule is applicable across all Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country. Officials have advised students to use the autumn break for assignments, project work and concept revision, while keeping the winter holidays focused on intensive exam preparation.
Further details on the summer break and festival holidays will be issued later in line with the academic calendar.
