Guwahati, September 25: GATE 2026 Exam Reschedule: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has announced that the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 exam scheduled to be conducted on February 8, 2026 will be rescheduled to avoid potential clashes with Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Engineering Services Examination (ESE). The GATE 2026 committee has decided to ensure that specific GATE papers including CE, EC, EE, GE, GG, IN, ME, PI are not scheduled on February 8, 2026, which coincides with UPSC ESE 2026 as per the Annual Calendar released by UPSC.

As per the schedule released earlier, GATE 2026 was supposed to be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Now the February 8 exam can either be preponed to February 6 or postponed to February 16, with the revised schedule to be updated on the official website soon.
