Sep 22, 2025, Jewar: The Central Industrial Security Force has officially taken charge of security at Noida International Airport, making it the 70th airport under CISF protection across India. In a special ceremony marking the start of Navratri, 120 CISF personnel were inducted to secure what promises to be one of Asia’s largest greenfield airports.

“This is a historic moment for our region,” said Airport Authority spokesperson during the induction ceremony. “With CISF’s proven track record, passengers can expect world-class security when operations begin post-Diwali.”

The timing couldn’t be more significant. The airport, designed to handle 70 million passengers annually, is setting ambitious sustainability goals with its net-zero emissions target. Local business owner Rajesh Kumar from Jewar expressed optimism: “Finally, we’re getting the international connectivity this region deserves. This will transform our entire area.”

Aviation experts predict the enhanced security infrastructure will boost investor confidence and accelerate the airport’s operational timeline. The facility represents over ₹1.2 lakh crore in infrastructure investments, positioning Greater Noida as a major aviation hub.

Meanwhile, CISF officials confirmed that specialized training modules for airport-specific security protocols are already underway for the inducted personnel.
